A Lumineers Dentist Can Create a Gorgeous Smile

If you want to improve your smile visit a Lumineers dentist. Not every dentist provides Lumineers. Even a lot of cosmetic dentists do not provide this option which is unfortunate because they can make teeth look amazing. We offer Lumineers as a way to restore damaged teeth and turn ordinary smiles into gorgeous ones.

When a tooth becomes damaged there are multiple ways to restore it. A common way is dental veneers. They are beautiful and have a similar appearance to Lumineers but are heavier and require more tooth preparation before being placed. Most patients have to get their existing natural teeth filed down before a veneer can be placed. Otherwise, it will stick out beyond the gum line which looks bad and would feel uncomfortable.

As a Lumineers dentist, we offer this alternative to veneers so that our patients can have options in how they want their smiles improved. The material is thinner, so most people don't need to have their teeth filed down at all. In fact, the material is so thin that it is barely thicker than a contact lens. This is truly incredible technology when you consider what a Lumineer can accomplish and by not needing to file down teeth any discomfort associated with the cosmetic procedure is reduced. It reduces the recovery time as well. Additionally, patients that are having veneers placed on their teeth typically need some form of anesthesia while Lumineers patients do not. This will also decrease the recovery time. We understand that life is busy and sometimes by simply getting you back to life faster, we can make things a little easier.

Lumineers are also fast to install.  Without needing to file down teeth, this can be done in one or two procedures. The results are similar in that a Lumineer can be used to make teeth even, cover stains, and close gaps in teeth – only faster.

The one complaint someone people have with Lumineers is that they don't always do a good job at covering seriously dark stains. Since the material is thinner than a veneer, it isn't always the perfect cover-up. You may want to speak with a veneers specialist before making a determination as to which route you want to go.

Lumineers cannot be placed by every dentist. While many will try, few have the skills or technique required to place them correctly and to use them for transforming a smile. Because they are so thin, it requires an expert hand to maneuver them into place and ensure that they accomplish a person's smile goals. If you are considering this procedure it is important to consult with a Lumineers dentist, that has been trained on how to apply them successfully.

As a cosmetic dentist, we offer a variety of services and dental procedures so that you can decide which one will best meet your needs. By keeping the patient in control, we are able to provide solutions to common dental problems and custom tailor them for our patient's individual lifestyles.
